Do you have access to a Trader Joe’s? If you are lucky enough to answer “yes” to that question, then BLESS.
I didn’t grow up with access to a Trader Joe’s. It wasn’t until I moved to Portland, Oregon, that I became a Trader Joe’s fanatic. And I’ll tell you – once that happens, there’s no going back.
Sure, your traditional grocery stores get the job done. Fred Meyer, Safeway, Walmart, Publix – these stores are fine. They have good options for stocking your kitchen. You can find deals there if you do a little research beforehand. Sometimes they even have some solid produce options.
But Trader Joe’s – Trader Joe’s is a mecca of amazing deals and delicious foods. They’re, of course, known for their treats. The cookie butter, dark chocolate peanut butter cups, Joe Joe’s, and peanut butter pretzels just to name a few. These are traditional fan favorites.
But that’s not all. The healthy options they offer outweigh the treats – in my opinion. If you’re following a specific diet, Trader Joe’s makes it that much easier. No matter if it’s Paleo, Keto, Macro-based, etc. – there are finds there that make following that approach simpler.
Now, I can spend all day wandering the aisles of Trader Joe’s, but I’m going to assume that you *don’t* want to do that. So I’m going to outline some of my very favorite products that will help you keep it totally keto. That way, grocery shopping is a breeze!
Table of Contents
Coconut Oil
Oh, coconut oil. Some people love it, others not so much. But if you’re full-on keto, coconut oil should definitely be a staple in your kitchen. In just one tablespoon of coconut oil, you’ll get 14g of fat which will help keep you in ketosis.
Trader Joe’s version is organic and virgin, so it’s great quality. And it’s a freaking steal for ~$5.00/jar. Now, a couple years back, there was some controversy around coconut oil and whether it should be included in your diet or not. While we don’t advocate for eating spoonful after spoonful daily, we do think there’s space for it in a well-balanced, varied diet.

Organic Riced Cauliflower
Have you hopped on the riced cauliflower train yet? This low carb veggie is a great replacement for potatoes, rice, and even pizza dough! Trader Joe’s version eliminates the worst part of using riced cauliflower in the kitchen – all the mess! There’s no need for a food processor or grater because the work has already been done. The cauliflower has been conveniently riced so all you have to do is heat and go.
And bonus! This product is organic and super cheap. One 12-oz bag is $1.99. SCORE. You’ll find this product in the freezer section.
Use this riced cauliflower in our cauliflower rice steak bowl or pork cauliflower fried rice.
Everything But The Bagel Sesame Seasoning Blend
THIS BLEND, YOU ALL. Have you tried it?? I think I have at least 3 jars in my cabinet right now. I put it on everything. Eggs, veggies, meat, avocados, etc.
With white and black sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sea salt flakes, dried garlic, and dried onions, it’s salty, it’s crunchy, and it’s so satisfyingly delicious. And you know the drill – just one shaker is $1.99. Seriously, that’s why my cabinets are STOCKED. Deals on deals on deals.
Antipasto Assortment
We haven’t even scratched the surface of snacks yet – but this antipasto assortment is one of my favorite grab and go options. It comes in a Lunchable-type tray (do you remember Lunchables?! Total flashback…) and the 4 compartments contain peppered salami slices, plain salami nuggets, mixed olives, and a Trader Joe’s favorite – Unexpected Cheddar Cheese.
It’s so good and one of my favorite things to snack on mid-day on busy days. I like to take one of each and pop them in my mouth together. Drool.
For a 16-ounce container, the cost is $9.99. And it should last you at least a few days!
Organic Arugula
Now, don’t get it twisted. Keto isn’t all meat and cheese and nut butters all the time. There is PLENTY of room for veggies. One of my favorites is the organic arugula. Arugula is a low carb leafy green that has a slightly spicy flavor.
I love eating it with eggs on top in the morning. It makes me feel great when I can sneak in some veggies with my breakfast. Arugula also makes a tasty addition in salads. And this organic version can be found in a 7-ounce bag for $1.99.
Organic Ground Beef
Another thing I love about Trader Joe’s is the quality of meat you can find on the shelves. According to their website, this organic ground beef “comes from organically raised cattle that are never given antibiotics or artificial growth hormones. The cattle are 100% grass fed, grazing on wide-open pastures – their diet of natural grasses and vegetation contributes to full-flavored, well-marbled beef that’s rich in healthful Omega-3 fatty acids.”
I love using this ground beef for tacos, keto meatloaf, chili, or bunless burgers! Ground beef is super versatile and cooks up so quickly that it’s at least a once-per-week go-to dinner option for me.
This is a steal at $5.99 per pound. Buy in bulk and keep the extras in your freezer!
Avocado’s Number Guacamole To Go
Avocado, vinegar, jalapeno, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper. Guacamole is always a win. But when you can have really great tasting guac – on the go – it’s even better. This guacamole comes in individual packs that are super easy to pack in your lunch.
Dip cucumbers, celery, or your favorite veggies in it. I also think guac makes a great partner to hard boiled eggs. You can snag this deal for $3.99.
