Broccoli salad like this one always reminds me of potlucks or picnics as a kid. I'll be honest - I loved it back then.
Broccoli salad can be good for you, or it can use some pretty scary ingredients (health-wise, at least). This one is delicious and nutritious, and will keep you full all day. It’s got chopped chicken for protein, pistachios for crunch, and a creamy lemon dressing that you will love.
This recipe isn't one that is a good option for our paleo readers, but if you're keto and can tolerate dairy, give this one a shot!

Slow Cooker Strawberry Jam
Jam is one of those foods that takes me back to my childhood. It makes me think of the packed lunches that I would take to school - peanut butter and Smuckers strawberry jam on white bread cut diagonally.
Ah, nostalgia.
Sometimes I still crave that combination - which was the inspiration for this strawberry jam. This one's a more grown-up version than Smuckers though :)
With fresh strawberries, dates, and chia seeds, this jam is nutrient-packed. And here's the best part - no added sugar!
If you ever get a craving for those old-school pb&j's, this is the perfect upgrade. Add in some almond butter and Paleo friendly bread, and ...

Funky Farmer’s Market Finds
In my opinion, we are in the midst of a food revolution. We, as a society, are making our way back to valuing the way we eat; locally-grown and seasonal foods that nourish our minds, bodies and the environment are at the top of many people’s priority list.
And what better way to support this revolution than by
becoming a frequent visitor of your local farmer’s market! All over the
country, farmer’s markets offer communities easy and accessible ways to
purchase fresh, local food.
And that’s AWESOME.
But if you’re a farmer’s market junkie like me, I’m sure there’s been a time when you’ve been scoping out the vegetables and there’s ...

Coconut Creamed Cucumbers
These coconut creamed cucumbers are the easiest appetizer or snack. We get a lot of questions about snacks - and understandbly so. There are so many options out there that it can be overwhelming to know what is best to eat.
There are few things I look for when picking a snack - am I getting some sort of nutrition from it? Vitamins, minerals, fiber?
If I can incorporate veggies into it - even better. I think we can all agree that we all need to eat more vegetables. And veggie-filled snacks are an easy way to up our intake.
Is it going to keep my blood sugar stable? I want some sort of healthy fat or protein involved.
And that's ...

Keto Barbecue Meatloaf
Meatloaf always takes me back to my childhood. My mom would cook dinner for us most nights and meatloaf was a go to. I loved her take on the classic dish - and even today, it's still one of my favorites.
This recipe sends me back to those days, but we've taken it up a level to help you stick to the keto diet. Barbecue sauce is a favorite among people, but more times than not it is loaded down with sugar in some form.
That's the stuff we're trying to stay away from on keto.
A delicious sugar-free barbecue sauce comes together quickly and tops a delicious meatloaf for a keto meal you won’t soon forget. Serve with some mashed ...

Your Valentine’s Day Gift Guide
Valentine’s Day is sneaking up on us. Some people love this holiday. Others aren’t so into it.
And I get it - the whole commercialized aspect of it kind of turns me off too...how the stores start plugging all the candy and balloons and other knick knacks as soon as Christmas wraps up. Meh.
At the same time, I’m the world’s biggest romantic and I love any excuse to celebrate - especially when it’s celebrating love. So I try to find a happy medium.
One of my favorite things to do for my partner is gift experiences. Taking a class, going to a concert, or planning a weekend trip are just a few examples of things I love giving.
For me, ...

Hot Pepper Roasted Broccoli
Unfortunately for broccoli, it kind of has a bad rap. Thanks to people cooking it in not-so-fun ways, it's become known as one of those bland, mushy veggies - like Brussels sprouts.
But for anyone who has roasted broccoli, you already know that it's actually dang delicious. My mouth kind of waters just thinking about it.
Sure - steaming it in the microwave is a heck of a lot faster...but the taste payoff is much bigger when you roast it.
This recipe takes the flavor up a notch. Using red pepper flakes, this version of broccoli has a nice little kick to it.
Broccoli is loaded down with nutrients that our body finds really helpful. ...
