Cellucor Mint Chocolate Chip Protein Waffles

September 13, 2014 By The Ultimate Nutrition Team Leave a Comment

L'eggo my Eggo! You’ve probably sworn off this dessert-like breakfast because it's normally packed full of carbs and sugar (and even topped with more sugar) and made with white bleached flour. Restaurant-style and freezer-varieties of waffles (Eggos) are usually a black hole of calories and sugar and they lack any nutritional value. Finally, here we have a high-protein, low-carb recipe for guilt-free waffles. Now your can stop drooling over those #foodporn photos you see on Pinterest and have some for yourself. This is a great recipe that uses the Cellucor Mint Chocolate Chip Whey Protein. If you want to try out the Mint Chocolate Chip Whey ...

Strawberry Rhubarb Jam

August 31, 2014 By Joel Runyon 6 Comments

With only a few ingredients, you can easily preserve fresh summer strawberries with this paleo-friendly form of jam. This recipe uses honey rather than raw sugar to sweeten the taste, and the apple provides natural pectin. The jam can be stored in a glass jar in the refrigerator, or preserved in jars using regular canning methods.  Strawberry Rhubarb Jam 2 pints Strawberries ((washed, hulled, and smashed))2 Stalks rhubarb ((finely diced))3/4 cup Honey1 tbsp Orange juice1/2 Green apple ((peeled, seeded, and diced)) Combine the strawberries, rhubarb, honey, and orange juice in a large pot over medium-low heat.Bring to ...

Super Low Carb Protein Pancake

August 18, 2014 By The Ultimate Nutrition Team 1 Comment

Looking for a low carb, high protein recipe to fit into your diet? Try these protein pancakes.  You can’t argue with the macros: Calories Carbohydrates Protein Fat 236 5g 48g 2g The pancakes use only two ingredients: egg whites and whey protein powder. With that said, they kind of come out like a pancake/omelet, so be sure to choose a taste-bud-tickling, delicious whey protein powder. I LOVE Cellucor’s line of Cor-Whey protein and my favorite flavor is Cor-fetti Cake Batter because it tastes like funfetti cake! I eat whey protein pancakes a lot. I’m living that 80/20 lifestyle and my love for tasty whey protein falls in that 20%. ...

Muffins are a great choice for rushed mornings on the go, or if you are not a fan of making breakfast every day. No Bake Paleo Candy Bars

June 2, 2014 By Katie Milton 2 Comments

Most candy bars are a complete no-go if you're paleo, but that doesn't mean the cravings go away. So the usual thing to do when you need a sugar fix is to research paleo versions of non-paleo treats. But, as delicious as these paleo treats are, let's be honest. Most of the time they're just too complicated and time-consuming to be all that practical. So we've put together the No Bake Paleo Candy Bars recipe so that you can prepare treats with no fuss and pretty quickly too. Yum!  No Bake Paleo Candy Bars 1 cup Dark chocolate chips1 cup Unsweetened coconut flakes1/2 c Walnuts ((chopped))1/2 cup Almonds ...

Hulk Pancakes

April 21, 2014 By The Ultimate Nutrition Team 1 Comment

HULK SMASH (these pancakes)!!! I’ve said it before, but I always try to find sneaky ways to fit vegetables into all of my meals. The banana and vanilla in this recipe not only mask the taste of the spinach, but they also add a delicious flavor. My bit of advice is to be extra delicate when flipping these pancakes. Since spinach isn’t the best binder and it releases its moisture when cooked, I tend to let the Hulk Pancakes cook a little longer than normal pancakes. Why spinach? Well Popeye knew a thing or two about this nutrient-rich leafy green. Here are a few reasons why I love spinach: A cup and a half of spinach (about the amount I use ...
