Fall is coming, y’all. Can you feel it? I LOVE the fall season, so obviously I’m deep diving into this season with all things cozy. Although fall is coming, the weather here hasn’t exactly caught up yet. So, this apple cinnamon green smoothie is a recipe acknowledging the warm weather but letting me indulge in some of my favorite fall flavors.
I love fall for comforting, warm, hearty foods. But like I said, the weather where I live just really hasn’t caught that vibe yet. The last few weeks of late summer are hanging tight. That’s why I opted for a smoothie.
I really only like smoothies in warm weather. Other than that, I like to actually chew my food. But the great thing about a smoothie is that you can get SO MANY nutrients into one single drink. And I’m all for that.
This smoothie features tart green apple, frozen banana, spinach, cinnamon, and almond milk. Throw some ice in there if you want to make this a little thicker. You could also easily throw in some unflavored protein powder for a boosted nutrient profile. I love the Paleovalley Bone Broth protein powder.
This smoothie makes a great breakfast option for busy mornings on-the-go or a post-workout snack. Carbs are important after a workout, after all, and this smoothie is loaded down with them.
I love to drink my smoothies out of a glass Mason jar but this one might be so good that you’ll want to drink it straight out of the blender! Or maybe not 🙂 However you choose to drink it, I promise you’ll love the sweet, spicy flavor that makes for a perfect fall-like smoothie.

Apple Cinnamon Green Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 frozen chopped banana
- 1 green apple cored and diced
- 2 cups spinach
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 cup almond milk
Instructions

Put all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth and creamy. Pour into glasses and serve.
