Despite thousands of people having great real-life success stories, people can't see the forest for the trees, and get hung up on the basic terminology of the word "paleo". In fact, one lady was so incensed that she chose to write a whole book on it.
At UPG, we're not tied to the fact that cavemen ate exactly what we have on our food list. That said, we think it's funny that thousands and thousands of people have real life evidence (themselves!) of actual health improvements, and that people continue to get stuck on nailing down the exact dietary habits of cavemen.
Whatever Grok ate 20,000 years ago, you can be dang sure that it was way ...

Basic Beef Stew
Few meals say “comfort food” like beef stew. And if you skip the potatoes, and serve with a side salad of mixed greens, you’ll have a great meal that doesn’t pack on the pounds, while still giving you that belly full of comfort that feels so good especially in the chilly fall and winter months. This is a bare bones basic version of beef stew, so feel free to experiment with other vegetables such as green beans (my favorite addition), broccoli, cauliflower, or (gasp) potatoes.

Caveman Coffee Cereal
Wait a minute! Cereal is NOT paleo (or primal or caveman or whateveryouwannacallit). But this "cereal" has no grains. I'm talking no Corn Flakes, no Wheaties, and no Rice Puffs. What it does contain though is a hell of a lot of nuts, and it's not something I would recommend as your regular first meal of the day. But for the occasional indulgence and flashback to that bowl of happiness you used to pour as a kid before sitting down to watch Saturday morning cartoons, there are worse options.

Fall Off The Bone Beef Short Ribs
Few things make eating feel more caveman-like than devouring cooked flesh while it's still on the bone. But, let's face it, sometimes that can get a bit messy, and our more civilized selves may appreciate our beloved protein source being removed from the skeletal structure. This Fall Off The Bone Beef Short Ribs recipe lets you have the best of both worlds! Much of the meat will naturally fall away from the bone through the cooking process, but there will still be a few delicious morsels that cling to the bone waiting to be removed by your teeth.

Spicy Asian Lettuce Wraps
Many people new to the paleo diet miss the beloved sandwich. Whether it's the childhood fondness of mom's peanut butter sandwich, or that huge submarine sandwich that you used to have at your local pub with friends, a pining for the warm and fuzzies attached to the sandwich is understandable. But if there is one thing that us paleo folks absolutely do not give in to, it's the gluten goblin of bread! Instead, we wrap our meat and veggies in lettuce leaves for the closest thing to a sandwich that a hunter-gatherer can make. And the spicy Asian-style flavor of these lettuce wraps are so delicious, you'll be happy to let the sandwich go the way ...
