Panera Goes Paleo In New “Hidden” Menu?

April 3, 2013 By Joel Runyon 3 Comments

In late 2012, Panera unveiled a "secret" menu. They're not saying it's paleo - specifically, but it sounds pretty paleo to us! Here's what they have to say about it. Developed by Scott Davis, Panera Bread's Chief Concept Officer, Panera's "off-the-menu" dishes offer nourishing options that make sticking to New Year's resolutions simple. All of these meal selections are an excellent source of protein and contain limited processed carbs. But you won't find these items on banners in our cafes, or even on the menu board. With all the names including the word "POWER", it certainly sounds like it's a nice departure from their typical ...

The Periodic Table of Meat

March 18, 2013 By Joel Runyon 1 Comment

The Periodic Table of Meat One of our favorite genres of paleo food is meat. Needless to say, we really, really enjoyed this funny take on the "periodic table of meat." Our favorite footnote? Bacon is the meat of life - without bacon - life as we know it would cease to exist.   via Pleated Jeans ...

Sh*t Paleo People Say http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cwMLRLtAhs&feature=youtu.be If it hit home, be sure to share it with a friend :). ...

Paleo + Carb Backloading with John Kiefer

February 19, 2013 By Joel Runyon 1 Comment

John Kiefer is one of the fastest upcoming names in strength building and nutrition with his unconventional Carb Backloading system which advocates eating huge amounts of junk carbs after working out. At first, that would seem counterintuitive to everything we know about paleo, but it is possible to include paleo principles into this unconventional diet. We went straight to John and got it straight from the horse's mouth. Everybody knows that I am not a fan of the term 'Paleo' because it's kind of idiotic to think that we ran around in vast fields of fruit trees and nut trees with tubers popping out of the ground when we were cavemen. But, ...
