Let’s face it, when you’re traveling, there are next to no paleo options at roadside convenience stores or airports. This nutty trail mix is the perfect companion for road trips and airport travel days. Remember: fruits and nuts in moderation if you’re trying to drop the pounds!
Nutty Trail Mix
- 2 c Almonds
- 2 c Pistachios (unshelled)
- 2 c Hazelnuts
- 2 tbsp Coconut oil
- 1 tsp Garlic powder
- 1 tsp Onion powder
- 1 tsp Paprika
- Sea salt and fresh cracked pepper (to taste)
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
Use 1 tbsp of coconut oil to grease a large baking sheet.
Lay out all 6 c of nuts evenly on the baking sheet.
Sprinkle nuts with seasonings, salt, and pepper.
Drizzle nuts with remaining 1 tbsp coconut oil and use spatula to evenly coat all nuts with seasonings and oil.
Once fully coated, spread nuts evenly across baking sheet.
Bake for 10 minutes and toss.
Bake for another 10 minutes and set aside to cool.
