Paleo tomato sauce is a one thing that could be undeniably a gift from heaven. It just tastes so good, and is just super healthy! Who will not drool over the words “tomato sauce”? Everybody just loves tomato sauce. So, you really need to learn how to make and prepare this cuisine. Well, I’m here to help you with that. Let’s get down to it.
To prepare this cuisine, you need to have the following – Olive oil, red bell peppers, jalapeño peppers, onion, cloves garlic , cumin, salt, tomato paste, tomatoes, water, eggs, and parsley or cilantro (the technical values are listed below). After gathering the ingredients at the right scale, follow these steps. Heat oil in skillet over a medium heat. Then, add bell peppers, jalapeños, onion, garlic, cumin, and 3/4 tsp of the salt. After that, cook it while stirring occasionally, until the onion becomes translucent. This will take about seven minutes. Then, add the tomato paste to the veggies, make sure to mix it well. Next, add tomatoes and their liquid plus 1/2 c water. Bring the mixture to a low boil. Simmer for about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce has thickened. Then, using the back of a large spoon, make “pockets” in the tomato sauce for the eggs. Next to that, carefully crack each egg into a “pocket” or crack each egg into a small cup and pour into pockets. Lastly, cover the skillet (DO NOT STIR!) and simmer for about 8 minutes or until eggs reach your desired “done-ness”. Sprinkle eggs with remaining salt, freshly ground pepper, and chopped fresh cilantro.
Easy, right? But wait, let me tell you that this is a certified paleo and offers massive health benefits! Did you know that tomatoes have been referred to as “functional food” a food that goes beyond providing just basic nutrition? It is because of its beneficial phytochemicals such as lycopene. And, tomatoes also play a role in preventing chronic disease and deliver other health benefits. It helps you to have higher guards against cancer, specifically prostate at colorectal.
