If you struggle to get going in the morning, we’ve got just the thing for you. This limeade is so refreshing and it feels great knowing that you’re hydrating your body and giving it the nutrients it needs first thing in the morning. Why stick to plain old water when drinks like this are so quick and simple to make?
Spinach Detox Limeade
- 6 Limes
- 2 c Spinach
- 1/2 Cucumber (thinly sliced)
- 8 c Water
- Stevia (or other sweetener - optional)
Using a hand juicer, juice limes in a blender.
Roughly chop spinach and add it to the blender.
Add a few cups of water to the blender, so that everything liquefies easily.
Pour blended juice into a pitcher.
Add remaining cups of water along with thinly sliced cucumber.
Mix well using a long-handled spoon,
If you like pulp, the juice is now ready to be served over ice cubes and garnished with lime or a cucumber wedge. NOTE: This is not the best beverage to serve on date night. Watch out for spinach in your teeth!
For pulp-free juice, allow the limeade to steep in the fridge for about 3 hours before straining.
The juice is quite refreshing without sweetener but if you prefer something sweeter, I recommend keeping the batch unsweetened and adding sweetener to each individual serving.
Recipe NotesWill stay fresh in the fridge for about 3 days.
