Jam is one of those foods that takes me back to my childhood. It makes me think of the packed lunches that I would take to school – peanut butter and Smuckers strawberry jam on white bread cut diagonally.
Ah, nostalgia.
Sometimes I still crave that combination – which was the inspiration for this strawberry jam. This one’s a more grown-up version than Smuckers though 🙂
With fresh strawberries, dates, and chia seeds, this jam is nutrient-packed. And here’s the best part – no added sugar!
If you ever get a craving for those old-school pb&j’s, this is the perfect upgrade. Add in some almond butter and Paleo friendly bread, and you’re set.
This version is extra easy because it cooks up in the slow cooker. And if strawberry isn’t your jam (haha), feel free to sub in your favorite fruit!
