Chocolates are undeniably irresistible. It is a favorite dessert or snack of almost everyone. However, our conscience always tells us not to eat chocolates because of the misconceptions about chocolates. Well, cacao or dark chocolates is different among all those processed chocolates. It’s loaded with minerals and soluble fiber and a powerful source of antioxidants. It also improves blood flow and lowers blood pressure.
Almonds are healthy as well. It contains protein, healthy fats, fiber, magnesium and vitamin E. This nut is loaded with health benefits, such as lowering blood sugar levels, reduces blood pressure and lowers cholesterol levels. Almonds also promote weight loss and can reduce hunger.
You could add any kind of nut butter you want to this recipe, and even add some flaked coconut, pistachios, sliced almonds, or even add some cinnamon or cayenne for a touch of spice. This recipe is a fun treat that doesn’t kill your paleo diet. It’s so simple to make that you’ll wonder why you haven’t made it before. The procedure is oven-free cause all you need to do is put it in the freezer until it’s ready to serve.

Raw Chocolate Almond Butter Cups
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup Raw cacao powder
- 1/4 cup Coconut oil (liquid)
- 2 tbsp Honey (or maple syrup)
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup Smooth almond butter
Instructions

Use a whisk to stir together the coconut oil, honey, and vanilla.

Continue whisking while adding the cacao powder until the chocolate is well blended.

Add paper muffin cups to a muffin tin.

Pour enough chocolate into the cups to just coat the bottom. Place the muffin tin in the freezer for 5-7 minutes.

Remove from the freezer and add a layer of almond butter on top of the chocolate.

Cover each cup with remaining chocolate to cover the almond butter. Smooth as much as possible.

Place in the freezer for at least 20 minutes. Remove the paper and serve.

Store in the freezer as they chocolate will melt at room temperature.
