Thanksgiving is THIS WEEK. What?! Can you believe it? I’m having a hard time coping with that fact. It seems like it wasn’t that long ago that we were setting New Years goals.
Time flies when you’re having fun, I guess.
The holiday season is my favorite. There seems to be an energy that buzzes through places when the holidays roll around. People seem a little lighter, a little happier. And there’s so much celebrating. Life is short and that simple fact makes celebrations that much more meaningful. Being able to spend time with the people you love, share food, share drinks, share laughter, time, and gifts is something that’s really special.
Am I getting a little TOO romantic for you? 🙂
All of that being said – you’ve probably got some holiday parties coming up on your schedule. Don’t sweat about what to bring. These Paleo sliders are going to be your go-to appetizer. Made of beef and veal, they are protein-packed – with the added garlic and onion, they bring the flavor too.
Forgo the bun to keep them Paleo. Put them out with your favorite sauces and toppers – Paleo mayo, mustard, pickles, grilled mushrooms and onions, etc.
Stick toothpicks in them to make them easy to pick up and go. Place them on tops of cups of lettuce or chopped romaine will make them visually irresistible.
