Our Jalapeño & Apple Coleslaw is fresh, super tasty, and easy to make. Who needs the other stuff when you can get something better by making your own?
Shop-bought products and “healthy” options like coleslaw are full of, well, who knows what? Make sure you check the ingredients before you buy any of that stuff. Or just make your own!
Jalapeno coleslaw is a salad of different vegetables and fruit like carrots, cabbage, and green apples that makes it very healthy. According to studies, all the varieties of apples have huge health qualities, but the green ones in particular have proteins, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. They are well known for their benefits, fighting digestive disorders, their low levels of good cholesterol, regulating glucose levels, and improving your appetite.
On the other hand, carrots are rich in vitamin A that is good for the eyes. Jalapeno coleslaw also has Cabbage that is a good source of potassium. Not to mention the jalapeno that gives a new flavor to the dish making every swallow of a spoonful of this is heavenly! So could you just imagine the benefits you get from a simple coleslaw? And guess what? This is very easy to make!
To start, shred the cabbage and add to a large mixing bowl. Then add the shredded apple, carrot, and onion to the cabbage. After that, toss until everything is mixed evenly. Remove ribs and seeds from jalapeño and then dice. After that, add jalapeño to the bowl then add vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Combine well so that all the ingredients get a nice coating of the dressing. Allow flavors to soak into the mix in the fridge for a couple hours before serving.

Jalapeño & Apple Coleslaw
Ingredients
- 4 c Cabbage (shredded)
- 1 Green apple (thinly sliced)
- 1 Carrot (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 in Red onion (thinly slicedrings)
- 1 Fresh jalapeño (diced, with seeds and ribs removed)
- 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp EVOO
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Freshly ground pepper
Instructions

Shred cabbage and add to large mixing bowl.

Add shredded apple, carrot, and onion to the cabbage. Toss.

Remove ribs and seeds from jalapeño and dice. I diced mine into large chunks because I wanted people who didn’t like jalapeño to be able to pick it out. Add jalapeño to bowl.

Add vinegar, olive oil, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Combine well so that all the ingredients get a nice coating of the dressing.

Allow flavors to soak into the mix in the fridge for a couple hours before serving.
