Fresh ginger and coconut milk transform traditional hot chocolate into something worthy of the best Christmases. Perfect healthy treat for sitting by the fire on a cold winter night.
Ginger has a long-standing tradition of being used medicinally in many cultures. It is commonly used to treat nausea, muscle pain, joint pain, and digestive issues. Its powerful healing effects are thought to come from the bioactive component of the root called gingerol.
It also gives a unique spicy kick to any food or drinks in which you add it. When combined with hot chocolate, the ginger in this concoction really warms you up from the inside.
