Tacos is a traditional Mexican dish composed of a wheat or corn tortilla rolled or folded around a tasty filling. It can be made with different kinds of fillings, including beef, chicken, seafood, pork, vegetables and cheese.
The usual taco salad is served with fried flour tortilla shell stuffed with diced tomatoes, shredded letuce and cheddar cheese, guacamole and salsa. All those ingredients topped with minced beef, seasoned chicken and beans.
As you all can notice, a couple of the ingredients are not paleo. We made this recipe just for you! A guilt free Taco seasoning and salad that you’ll surely love.
This is a recipe for a light paleo taco seasoning and salad. This recipe uses fresh ingredients and will fill you up without leaving you feeling sluggish. It’s a great choice of meal for family get-togethers and BBQs because your guests can help themselves to their favorite ingredients.

Paleo Taco Seasoning & Salad
Ingredients
Seasoning
- 2 tsp Chili powder
- 2 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Garlic powder
- 2 tsp Onion powder
Salad
- 1 lb Ground beef
- 1 Onion (small, diced)
- 1/4 Head iceberg lettuce (chopped)
- 1 Avocado (diced)
- 1 Tomato (diced)
Instructions

Combine all the seasonings in a ramekin and mix well. You might consider doubling or tripling the batch and setting the taco seasoning aside in the pantry for future use.

In a large sauté pan, begin sautéing the ground beef on medium.

Add the seasonings to the beef and mix well while browning.

While browning, chop up other ingredients. You might consider creating a self-serve taco bar by placing each ingredient in a small serving bowl and allowing your guests to pick their own ingredients.

Once the beef is done, serve it on top of the iceberg lettuce and garnish it with your desired toppings. No dressing needed!
