Get Drunk Not Fat
Getting drunk isn’t necessarily paleo, but if you’re looking to make the most of your alcohol and still maintain or lose some weight, this is a good guide to show you how to get drunk not fat.
The key is to use your calories on alcohol and not fillers, especially if your goal when drinking is to get drunk. This charts shows you that straight shots are your best option, beer somewhere in the middle and mixed drinks are the worst, because of the mixers and the high amount of sugar that are found in them.
Unfortunately for you wine drinkers out there, this particular chart doesn’t show where wine falls on the alcohol to filler spectrum, but I would imagine it would land just above the beer considering most wine has a higher alcohol content than beer.
On average, one 12 ounce beer has as much alcohol as a 1.5 ounce shot of whiskey or a 5 ounce glass of wine.
