Hey, I know what you’re thinking.
You love paleo, but you also love chocolate.
How do you decide between your love of chocolate and your love of staying primal and healthy?
I’ve got an answer for you…
Exactly. Paleo Chocolate.
Because (cue the good news), CHOCOLATE IS PALEO (don’t believe me? check it out right here).
So yeah, you can have the best of both worlds. Chocolate + Paleo.
And there are a bunch of good options to choose from. Here are my personal favorites:
Table of Contents
Fine and Raw

Fine and Raw is based in Brooklyn and makes super-high-quality, super-dense chocolate. Just a nibble will get you your chocolate fix – which is nice. You’re not going to be downing an entire chocolate bar – a la Herseys.
They’re sweetened with agave, which is paleo-approved, but not the best sweetener.

Hnina Gourmet

I got a taste of Hnina the other day and they were delicious.
They’re about as pure paleo as they come too!
Via the description on their site:
All organic, raw cocoa, sprouted nuts & seeds (available raw or roasted), raw honey, pure maple syrup, pure vanilla, nothing else.
If you’re looking to stay super-paleo, these are the ones to go. Yum.

Eating Evolved

I met the guys at Eating Evolved at PaleoFX when it was just two people. They’ve blown up over the past few years and I’m a huge fan of their chocolate.
My absolute favorite is the Crunchy Caramel ones. So good!
They used to make all their chocolate bars with maple syrup – so no sugar cane in these at all – but now use coconut palm sugar (which while slightly worse than maple syrup, isn’t the end of the world)
Bonus: their coconut butter cups are freaking delicious. Try ’em out.

Hu Kitchen Chocolate

Another chocolate company based in New York!
These guys make delicious chocolate bars that are a bit sweeter than the rest (good to know if you’ve got a bad case of a sweet tooth).
Again, if you want the inside track, my favorite are the Almond Butter + puffed Quinoa Chocolate Bar. Be careful not to eat the whole bar at once!
This stuff is like crack.
Yeah, we know, quinoa isn’t strictly paleo, it’s pretty darn good.
