Ingredients

Barbecue sauce:

  • 1 cup sugar-free tomato sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper more or less to taste depending on desired spice level

Meatloaf:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 pound ground pork
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 onion finely diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 egg beaten
  • Sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. To make the sauce, whisk all of the ingredients in a medium bowl until well combined. Set aside.
  3. For the meatloaf, put all of the ingredients in a large bowl and mix by hand until just combined. Lay a large piece of foil on a clean surface and transfer the meat mixture to it. Form into a loaf shape, and spread half the sauce mixture on top. Wrap in foil and transfer to a baking sheet. Bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven, carefully unwrap and top with remaining sauce.
  4. Let cool slightly, slice and serve.
