Fall Off The Bone Beef Short Ribs

Ingredients

  • lbs Beef short ribs (about 3)
  • Juice from 2 oranges
  • 1 tbs Coconut oil
  • 1 tbs Chili powder
  • 1 yellow onion (chopped)
  • 3 cloves garlic (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper
  • Chopped cilantro to taste

Instructions

  1. Add salt and pepper liberally to the short ribs. Place the seasoned ribs into a slow cooker.
  2. Add the juice of two medium-sized oranges to the slow cooker. I just cut the oranges in half, and then hand-squeeze the juice right into the cooker.
  3. Add the coconut oil, onion, garlic, and chili powder to the slow cooker. Set the slow cooker on low, and cook for 8-10 hours.
  4. Carefully remove the short ribs from the slow cooker. Much of the meat may have fallen off of the bone; using a slotted spoon for removal can be helpful. Serve with a sprinkling of fresh chopped cilantro on top of the ribs.
