Pineapple Ginger Tea

Prep Time 2 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 Tea bags (I've used both citrus- and lemon-infused teas)
  • 5 cups water
  • 5 1/2 ” cubes of fresh cut pineapple
  • 4 slices Nickel sized fresh ginger
  • 1 halved lemon

Instructions

  1. Boil water in saucepan (or tea kettle) on stove top.
  2. Juice the lemon half. Once fully juiced, DO NOT throw the lemon half away as you will use it to help juice the fresh pineapple. Place one piece at a time in the empty shell of the lemon, using it as a cup to grip as you juice.
  3. Pour lemon-pineapple juice and ginger slices into the heating water. (There is no shame in eating the leftover muddled fruits.)
  4. Once juice is boiling, cover and simmer for two minutes.
  5. Once complete, remove the pieces of ginger before adding to tea kettle and tea bags.
  6. Let the tea marinate for a few minutes and give it a quick stir before serving. Enjoy!
