Total Time 2 hours
Servings 8 cups

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds bones of your choice chicken, beef, or pork, or mix
  • 1 onion halved
  • 4 stalks celery
  • 2 carrots peeled and cut into chunks
  • Fresh herbs: parsley rosemary, or thyme
  • lemon juiced
  • Water
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Put the bones in your instant pot with your veggies, herbs, and lemon juice.
  2. Cover with about 8 cups of water, but don’t fill your pot more than about 2/3 full. Add salt.
  3. Lock the lid and cook at high pressure for about 2 hours. Use the natural release to release the pressure.

  4. Allow to cool and strain the broth. Store in sealed containers in the fridge, or freeze for longer storage.
