Pan-Seared Cajun Salmon

  • 2 6- oz Salmon fillets
  • 1 tbsp Coconut oil
  • 1 tbsp Cilantro (chopped)

For the Cajun rub

  • 1 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp Oregano (dried)
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme (dried)
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Freshly ground pepper


  1. Stir together the ingredients for the rub in a small bowl.
  2. Rub into the (skinless side of the) salmon.
  3. Melt the coconut oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Place the salmon in the pan with the skin side up.
  5. Sear for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  6. Carefully flip over and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes or until the salmon reaches your desired level of doneness.
  7. Serve warm and garnished with cilantro.
