Paleo Homemade Applesauce

  • 3 lbs Apples (any variety, peeled, cored, and chopped)
  • 1/2 cup Apple cider (or water)
  • 1 Lemon (juiced)
  • 2-3 tbsp Honey (or maple syrup)
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon


  1. Put all of the ingredients in a large pot. Bring to a boil, and reduce heat to a simmer.
  2. Simmer for 20-30 minutes, until apples are well broken down.
  3. For a chunkier applesauce, serve as is. For a smoother version, puree in a blender or food processor. Store in the fridge.
