Broiled Brussels Sprouts with Bacon

  • 2 pounds Brussels sprouts halved
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 bacon slices cooked and crumbled
  • Sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste


  1. Put the sprouts in steamer basket or microwave and steam until just tender. Remove and let cool slightly.
  2. Toss the steamed sprouts with the olive oil and a pinch of salt. Lay on a parchment lined baking sheet, cut side up. Preheat broiler to high heat and broil until tops are well browned. 
  3. Toss with the bacon and serve warm.
