Holiday Meatball Bites

  • 2 pounds Ground beef
  • 1 pound Ground pork
  • 1 Onion finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Almond flour
  • 2 cups Crushed tomatoes
  • Fresh basil for serving
  • Sea salt and fresh ground pepper to taste


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Combine all of the ingredients except the tomatoes in a large bowl. Mix until just combined.
  3. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and form the mixture into 2 inch balls. Dollop each with a teaspoon or two of crushed tomatoes and bake for 20-30 minutes, until browned. Remove from oven and sprinkle with basil.
  4. Insert with toothpicks to make an easy appetizer.
