The pumpkin train just keeps on rolling. Now, I’m not going to lie – this recipe might not be for everyone. If you’re not a fan of pumpkin, you probably want to steer clear. Hey, we can’t please everyone all the time, am I right?
But if you’re a pumpkin lover – or even better…a pumpkin PIE lover, you’ll want to make this one. It’s seriously like drinking pumpkin pie filling. This smoothie is just one more way to really embrace the holiday season. SPOOKY SZN, let’s go!
Like I said, if you love pumpkin pie, this is the recipe for you. But for a lot of our readers, the traditional pumpkin pie (crust and all) is out of the question. This takes the goodness of pumpkin pie without the ingredients that are frequently not friendly for a lot of our readers. Mainly gluten and sugar.
All you’ll need is canned pumpkin, a frozen banana, pumpkin pie spice, and almond milk. Whip all of it up in your blender until it becomes nice and creamy. You could probably also add a little dash of maple syrup or cinnamon if you like. It’s all fair game here.
I love eating a variety of squashes in the fall because they’re in season. And they’re so nutritious. Pumpkin specifically is rich in Vitamin K. Vitamin K is great for our bone health and also helps our body with blood clotting and wound healing.
Do your body – and tastebuds – a favor and slurp down this spicy, sweet, and delicious smoothie. I know I’ll be drinking it all fall long!
